A young family in Bedford wanted to remodel and expand their kitchen and add mudroom space. An awkward floor level change was removed so the kitchen could expand into the existing mudroom. We bumped out in front to add new mudroom space and a door from the garage. Old mixes with new as a farmers under-mount apron sink and rustic barn doors are juxtaposed with sleek painted white cabinets and dark grey, granite, leather finish counters. Recessed, under-cabinet and pendent lighting brighten a previously under-lit space. With the dining room wall also removed, the once small kitchen is now a large gathering place for family and guests.
