“Tree house” Addition

A couple in Concord wanted to add a large family tv and casual eating space off their kitchen. They wanted a “tree house feel,” achieved with large picture windows looking out over wooded conservation land. Above is a private master bedroom area with large double hung windows letting in light and taking advantage of the same view. The master bedroom has a natural fir bead board ceiling and an elliptical transom. The master bath has a combination soaking tub and shower area, with black fixtures and a decorative tile floor.  A side porch leads to a bluestone patio supported by stone retaining walls.
