Second floor Master bedroom, Playroom addition

This young couple in Concord, MA wanted more space for guests and for kids to play. We removed the roof of the existing garage to add a playroom and bath with a steeper roof.  We remodeled and bumped out the existing mudroom and added a master bedroom, bath and closet above.  An old bath was converted to an office/guest room.  A pantry/ laundry area was created next to the kitchen and wainscoting was added to a powder room. The playroom has a cathedral ceiling with closed cell insulation and adjustable recessed lights. Custom millwork includes a new stair railing, bench, vanity, bookshelves and built ins.
