Historic Timber Frame Remodel

A 1740’s section of an Historic House in Acton, MA was remodeled to include an eat-in kitchen with cathedral ceiling, mudroom and laundry area. A children’s play/study loft was created which looks down on the kitchen. Framed inset cabinets and a farmer’s sink were installed in keeping with the antique look. The timber frame was left exposed with metal tie rods added for strength.
